Carol Vickers holds an Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management and a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Royal Roads University, where she deeply examined leadership, social enterprise and innovation. Certified as an Appreciative Inquiry Coach in 2015 she is a Senior Instructor for the Rayner Institute, facilitating an accredited professional coach training program.
Carol became a volunteer for Community Microlending in 2014. After observing the results for participants in the programs, she turned the focus of her major research project with Royal Roads to redefining success for Canadian microlending organizations. Investigating the possibility of measuring social impact beyond receiving a loan created the opportunity for alternatives for evaluation that consider the importance of human capital.
