Tina is from the Philippines and arrived in Canada in May of 2010 with her husband and three children. She has a degree in Business Administration from a university in the Philippines and since moving to Canada, Tina has worked as a housekeeper and a cleaner.
Tina would like to complete the Basic Early Childhood Educator Certificate at the Pacific Rim Early Childhood Institute. Tina has provided informal care to children before, but would like to have some formal qualifications so she can open a home-based day care centre that would cater to a number of mothers she knows that need daycare space for their children. The program will take close to a year to complete, with Cristina taking two 10-week courses at a time.
Tina’s credit file indicates that she has a relatively high debt load and a perfect payment history. While Cristina and her husband have a perfect payment history, their bank was not willing to extend any further credit to them.
This training will provide Tina with the education she requires to build a better future for herself and her family.
